Store Policies


Credits and Exchanges:

We want you to be delighted with our purchase from Goldstein's.  With your receipt, we will exchange any item purchased from our stock for a period of sixty days, or we will offer a refund for 15 days from purchase to the original purchaser.  Any item(s) returned must be unused and unworn, in original condition and, where applicable, in the original gift box with any warrantee cards or instruction books intact.  


Website Purchases

Thank you for shopping on our website!  We want you to be happy with your order!

  • Any item purchased on our website may be returned within 15 days of receipt unless it has been altered or worn. 

  • Please call or text us at (251) 460-9050, or email us for precise return instructions.

  • If you send us a message through the website, we will reply no later than our next business day.

  • At the current time, there is no sales tax due on items shipped outside Alabama.

Jewelry is a personal gift that should be enjoyed for generations if properly cared for.  Unfortunately, we can not accept sales for foreign delivery.  


Internet Shipping Policies:

We use the US Postal Service for most deliveries.  A signature will be required for any purchase of $250 or more (Covid protocols of delivery service may affect this) .  Priority mail is used for purchases of $500 to $50,000 and will be shipped at no charge. 


Special Orders:

We regret that special orders are not returnable and no refunds or exchanges can be made.  A special order is any item ordered, custom made, or altered at the customer's request.


Layaway Policy:

Layaway payments are required every 30 days.  Items placed on layaway will be held for a period of 90 days from the date of the first payment.  If full payment is not made by the end of this period, the item(s) may be returned to stock.  The original deposit and subsequent payments will not be refunded but can be used toward the purchase of other in-stock merchandise.


Insurance Estimates:

Insurance replacement certificates (sometimes called Appraisals) will be issued at no charge at the customer's request for any item purchased at Goldstein's.  The sales receipt is proof of purchase and can be used for insurance needs, depending on the insurance company (consult your insurance agent).


Gemstone Enhancement:

The vast majority of color gemstones and pearls are traditionally enhanced or treated to make them more beautiful.  Since this is a very common practice in the jewelry industry, we will let you know if a particular stone is completely natural.  The color gemstones sold by Goldstein's came out of the ground at some point.  We do not sell lab created stones unless special ordered at a customer's request.

Natural Diamonds
All diamonds in our inventory are natural diamonds and the only "enhancement" is cutting and polishing the rough diamonds that came out of the ground.  We'll happily work with you to provide laboratory created diamonds if you wish to purchase one.
